We attended the Shanghai Cyber Security Fair and Development Forum 2024 (referred to as “SCSF”) and provided detailed coverage of the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity technologies showcased at the event. Supported by the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and organized by the Shanghai Security Protection and Alarm Association, the expo attracted leaders and experts from various industries.
The SCSF brought together a wide range of products and services, including intelligent security systems, video surveillance, smart community solutions, intercom systems, access control, intelligent transportation, security alarms, anti-theft locks, explosive detection equipment, and industry solutions. This year’s theme, “Embrace Integration, Collaborative Development, Empowering the City’s Digital Intelligence,” highlighted the close integration of technology and security.
Our focus at the expo was on innovations in the AI and cybersecurity sectors. These technologies included intelligent security systems, AI applications, big data analysis, and unmanned systems. Notably, the AI technologies showcased for data security risk assessment, personal information protection, and combating online rumors garnered significant attention.
The Shanghai Information Security Evaluation and Certification Center demonstrated their data security risk assessment services and consulting services for the filing of standard contracts for the export of personal information, aimed at helping data processors standardize their data processing activities, mitigate data security risks, and meet compliance requirements. The Shanghai Network Information Security Management Association also showcased their efforts in combating online rumors, calling for joint efforts from all sectors of society to purify the online environment.
Additionally, the Shanghai Information Security Evaluation and Certification Center launched consulting services for data export security assessments, suitable for data processors needing to report to the Central Cyberspace Administration of China. The expo also featured evaluation services for App personal information security, applicable to Apps and mini-programs involved in personal information collection and usage.
At the expo, we interviewed several industry experts and exhibitors to gain deeper insights into the latest advancements and future trends in AI and cybersecurity technologies. The Shanghai Network Information Security Management Association announced the establishment of the Anti-Rumor Alliance at the expo, aiming to mobilize member enthusiasm, organize collective efforts, increase publicity, and create a cleaner online environment. The association called for more members to join the Anti-Rumor Alliance, repost rumor-refuting information promptly, and issue the “Reject Online Rumors, Create a Clean Online Environment” initiative to foster a positive online atmosphere.
We believe that the development of AI and cybersecurity technologies is transforming our lives and work. Through our coverage of this expo, we aim to deliver the latest technological information to the public, helping them stay informed about industry trends. The innovations in data security and online rumor governance showcased at the event indicate the future direction of technological development.
